OMPHOBBY Product Warranty Policy
OMPHOBBY is dedicated to providing top-quality radio control helicopters, airplanes, and accessories. We rigorously test our RC aircraft and components before they are ever offered for sale. Even with strict quality control, we know there is always a slight chance of an occasional defect. To that end, we warrant that all products will be free from manufacturing defects and fully functional for 30 days from the time of delivery.
Please read the following warranty guidelines and restrictions carefully BEFORE you purchase or assemble your model:
1. Warranty Does Not Cover Aircraft Which Have Been Flown
Due to the complex nature of the RC hobby and the unlimited number of factors that can lead to flight mishaps, we DO NOT offer a warranty on aircraft or helicopters that have been flown. It is imperative that you perform all necessary pre-flight checks and bind procedures as outlined in your user manual before flying your aircraft for the first time.
2. Warranty Does Not Cover Modified Products
Modifying the product in any way immediately voids the warranty. This includes painting, gluing, cutting, soldering, modifying electrical connectors on Motors / ESCs / Batteries, or modifying the airframe/chassis. If you attempt to return a product that has been modified, your warranty claim will be denied, and the product will be returned to you at your expense.
3. We Reserve The Right To Provide Replacement Parts
If you have purchased an aircraft and discover a defective part out-of-the-box, OMPHOBBY will provide the specific part(s) necessary to correct the issue and bring your model to working condition. We will not provide an entirely new replacement model for a defective individual part. Be sure to check the functionality and condition of ALL parts before assembling and gluing your model. The customer is responsible for installing any and all replacement parts.
4. Evidence Of Warranty Defect Is Required
If you discover a product issue, you will be required to provide clear photo and/or video evidence of the defect. We know this can be slightly inconvenient; however, this is a strict requirement from our engineering team to help diagnose the issue and ensure the timely processing of your warranty claim. For higher-value items or more complex cases, you may be required to return the product to us before a warranty claim is authorized.
5. "Fit And Finish" Imperfections Are Not Covered
Small cosmetic issues such as minor areas of missing paint, paint over-spray, chipped decals, hairline cracks in fiberglass, slight warps or wrinkles in foam surfaces, small gaps between assembled pieces, and minor dents in the foam will not affect the flight performance of the model and are not covered by the warranty. If you are unhappy with the fit and finish of your model out of the box, please keep all parts new and unassembled, and contact us for a standard return (subject to our Return Policy).
6. Electronic Warranties Do Not Cover Loss Of Aircraft
Customer-installed electronic products such as flight controllers, gyros, electronic speed controls (ESCs), motors, LiPo batteries, receivers, and servos are covered by our standard 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects. However, the warranty of these electronic products does not extend to the model in which the product was installed. If an electronic part fails and results in a crash or the loss of your aircraft, only the defective electronic part itself will be eligible for warranty repair or replacement.
7. Clearance and Open Box Items
All Clearance items and "Open Box" merchandise are sold strictly "AS IS" and are not covered by our standard warranty. Please read the product condition description carefully before purchasing these items.
8. Warranties are Non-Transferable
Our warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser who bought the item directly from OMPHOBBY. If the original purchaser sells or gifts the item to another party, the warranty does not transfer to the new owner.
